Riso Print

This illustration assignment from Vidhya Nagarajan in 2021, was to create a risoprint centered around a random fortune cookie saying. Mine pulled saying was "You will find a Thing. It will be important."

Riso prints are made using colors of different opacities, layered on top of each other. Thus, I had to work in two different color dimensions: shades of blue, and shades of pink.

To me, the fortune cookie sounded like a line from an older RPG adventure video game. Thus, I treated the illustration as pixel art, similar to a cutscene still from an early console 8-bit game.
